As a Financial Advisor with over 25 years of experience, Birds has had the privilege of working closely with clients and families with varied goals and aspirations. Rooted in his belief of “doing well by doing good”, he has cultivated lasting relationships based on shared goals. He values good communication, good habits and good humor. Having gone into retirement himself and voluntarily choosing to return to the field, Birds dedicates himself to helping his clients achieve financial success while empowering them to live a purposeful life at every stage.

Birds received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He holds both the Certified Financial Fiduciary® designation and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ (CRPC®) designation from the College of Financial Planning. Birds has also fulfilled the licensing requirements for the Series 7, 8, 24, 31, 63, and 65 examinations. After a decade in Lake Oconee, Georgia, he and his wife, Lizzy, now reside in their new home in McLean, Virginia, while their daughter, Petey, pursues her master’s degree in Madrid, Spain. Outside the office, you can find Birds boating, enjoying racquet sports and cheering for all University of Tennessee teams- especially football. He also loves hosting trivia nights and participating in competitive storytelling.
